These terms are a contract between you and XIUSoft for the LiveSSH app and LiveSSH Cloud, and are also the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the app. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. About these terms
“We”, “us” and “XIUSoft” mean XIUSoft (시우소프트), Republic of Korea, business registration number 752-41-01398, 901-401, 33 Dongtanjungsimsangga 1-gil, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, 18455, Republic of Korea. “The Service” means the LiveSSH app on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows, LiveSSH Cloud and the related websites. “You” means the person using the Service.
By installing or using the Service you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it.
2. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough under the law of your country to enter a contract; otherwise a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you where your law allows, and the Privacy Policy still applies. The Service is not available where the law of your country prohibits it or where we are prohibited from supplying it (for example under trade sanctions).
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use, subject to these terms and to the usage rules of the store you downloaded it from (for Apple devices, the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms). We keep all rights not granted. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer or extract the source code of the app except as the law allows, remove notices, or use the Service to build a competing product by scraping our server.
The app includes third-party open-source software that is covered by its own licences. The notices and licence texts are shown in the app under Settings > Legal > Open-source licences.
4. Accounts, master password and recovery key
You can use the local features without an account. LiveSSH Cloud needs an account. Give accurate information, keep your login details confidential and tell us if you suspect misuse.
Your vault is end-to-end encrypted with a key derived from your master password; a recovery key is also created. We cannot decrypt your vault and cannot reset your master password. If you lose both the master password and the recovery key, your synced data cannot be recovered by anyone. Keep the recovery key somewhere safe.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- connect only to servers, devices and networks that you own or are authorised to access, and comply with their owners’ rules and the law;
- not use the Service for unauthorised access, attacks, scanning, malware, fraud, harassment or any illegal purpose;
- not overload, probe or interfere with our servers or other users, nor try to bypass subscription checks, rate limits or security;
- not use the push-notification path to send unsolicited, deceptive or unlawful content;
- not misuse port forwarding or the SOCKS proxy to reach systems you may not access.
We may suspend or limit an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, after notice where this is practical.
6. AI coding agents and your servers
LiveSSH is a client that lets you operate software, including AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex, on your own servers. We do not run, supervise or control those agents or their providers, are not affiliated with them, and their names are trademarks of their owners. Commands, file changes, costs and consequences caused by you or by an agent on your servers are your responsibility. The safety prompts in the app are aids, not guarantees. Review what an agent asks to do, keep backups of your own servers, and do not enable push notifications if agent prompts might contain sensitive text (see the Security page).
7. Your content and credentials
You keep ownership of your hosts, credentials, snippets and other content. You give us only the limited permission needed to store the encrypted data and provide the Service to you. Because we cannot read your vault, we do not review it. You are responsible for the legality of what you store and for the security of your SSH keys and servers.
8. Subscriptions, free trial and renewal
- Local features are free. LiveSSH Cloud is a paid subscription: US$2.99 per month or US$29.99 per year, or the local price shown in your store, which may vary by country and includes applicable taxes.
- Free trial: a free trial of LiveSSH Cloud, where offered, is an introductory offer of the App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store on the subscription itself. The store sets its length and who is eligible and shows it before you subscribe; unless you cancel in the store before the trial ends (at least 24 hours before, or within the period the store sets), the subscription then starts at the price shown. The automatic 7-day trial that new accounts received until October 2026 has ended: a trial that is already running continues until it ends, nothing is charged at its end, and sync then stops until you subscribe. All local features (SSH, SFTP, agent controls, local hosts and snippets) stay free.
- You buy through the Apple App Store (including the Mac App Store), Google Play or Microsoft Store, which are the merchants of record; we do not take payment ourselves. One subscription applies to all your devices signed in to the same account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours (or the period the store sets) before the period ends. We will tell you in advance of a price change as the store and the law require.
- Cancel in the store’s subscription settings (for example Apple ID > Subscriptions; Google Play > Payments and subscriptions; Microsoft account > Services and subscriptions). Deleting the app or the account does not cancel a store subscription. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If a subscription ends, your data stays readable and you can still export it from the app, but changes cannot be synced to LiveSSH Cloud until you subscribe again; local features keep working.
9. Refunds and consumer rights
The stores are the merchants: you buy through the Apple App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store, and they process payments, refunds and withdrawals under their own terms. Request refunds from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), Google Play or Microsoft as the store describes. We cannot refund store payments ourselves but will help with a request where we can.
Right of withdrawal (EU, UK): consumers in the EU and the UK generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content or a digital service that starts at once, you lose this right only if you expressly asked for immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose it; the store collects this at purchase and handles withdrawal requests. Korean consumers have the withdrawal and refund rights of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, exercised through the store. Australian consumers have the guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law and cannot be waived.
Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution: write to contact@xiu.kr first. The EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was closed on 20 July 2025; EU and UK consumers may still use an approved consumer dispute-resolution (ADR) body in their country, and we will respond in good faith. We do not commit to take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body unless the law requires it. Korean consumers may use the Korea Consumer Agency or the Korea Consumer Dispute Mediation Commission.
10. Apple, Google and Microsoft
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. The licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as the App Store usage rules allow. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; we are responsible for support (see the Support page). If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if any; to the extent allowed by law Apple has no other warranty obligation, and other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses for failure to conform are our responsibility. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing your or a third party’s claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal requirements, consumer protection claims and intellectual property infringement claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Also follow the third-party terms that apply to you (for example your wireless carrier’s). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you. Our contact details for questions, complaints and claims are in the last section.
The same applies in substance to Google Play and the Microsoft Store: their usage rules apply in addition to these terms, and they are not responsible for the app or its support.
11. Service changes and availability
We may improve, change or retire features. We will tell you in the app, on the website or by email at least 30 days before a change that materially reduces what you paid for (7 days for a change that is not adverse to you, such as a new feature or a clarification). You may then cancel, and we will support a request for a proportionate refund of the prepaid period through the store. If we end LiveSSH Cloud, we give you at least 30 days to export your data. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; there may be maintenance and outages. Our encrypted server backups are kept at most 7 days and only for disaster recovery, not to restore data on request, so keep your own copies of important data and use the export function.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that the Service will meet your particular needs, or that security can never be broken or data never lost. The Service connects to servers we do not control; we are not responsible for their security or content.
This section does not remove any guarantee or remedy that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded, for example the conformity rules for digital content and services under the EU Digital Content Directive (EU) 2019/770 as applied in your country, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law, and Korean consumer law, the Civil Act and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions. Some countries do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event and US$50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; for intent (wilful misconduct) or gross negligence; for breach of mandatory consumer, product-liability or data-protection law; or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you. The cap above does not apply to those claims, and where a limit is not allowed in full it applies only to the extent the law allows.
In Germany and other countries with similar rules, for slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (those that make performance possible and that you can rely on), and then limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable when the contract is made. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
14. Indemnity (business users only)
This section applies only if you use the Service for business or professional purposes. It does not apply to consumers. You will compensate us for third-party claims to the extent they are caused by your breach of section 5 (acceptable use) or section 6 (AI coding agents and your servers) or by your unlawful use of the Service. Your liability is limited to the share of the loss caused by your breach, does not cover loss caused by our own fault, and we will tell you promptly of a claim and, where the law allows, let you take part in its defence.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings > LiveSSH Cloud > Delete account); cancel any subscription in the store. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms (after notice where practical) or if the law requires. If we stop offering the Service, or end your account for any other reason, we give at least 30 days’ notice and, through the store where possible, a refund of any prepaid period you could not use. When your account ends, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should continue (for example intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive.
16. Export and sanctions
The app contains encryption. You must follow export, re-export and sanctions laws that apply to you, and you confirm that you are not located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region that is subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargoes, and are not on a restricted-party list. We may restrict the Service where we are required to by such laws.
17. Governing law and disputes
Korean law governs these terms and any dispute about them or the Service. If you are a consumer, this applies only to the extent that it does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually live (for example consumer-protection law in the EU and its member states, the United Kingdom, Brazil and the Republic of Korea). Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Please contact us first at contact@xiu.kr; we will try in good faith to resolve a dispute within 30 days. For business users, the Seoul Central District Court has exclusive jurisdiction. For consumers, the Seoul Central District Court is an additional, non-exclusive forum: it does not remove your right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence, or to be sued only there where the law gives you that right (for example under Articles 17 to 19 of EU Regulation 1215/2012, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Brazilian Consumer Defence Code). Out-of-court options are in section 9. We do not require arbitration and do not ask you to give up any right to take part in a collective action.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example for new features or legal changes. We post the new version with its date. We notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before a material or adverse change takes effect, and at least 7 days before a change that is not adverse to you (for example a clarification, a new feature or a change in your favour). A change required sooner by law applies as the law requires. The notice will say what changes and that continued use after the date means you accept it. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel before the date, and we will support a request for a proportionate refund of the prepaid period through the store.
19. General
If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. The English text is the original; if a translation differs, the English text is used to interpret the meaning only where the law of your country allows it, and otherwise the version in your language is binding (see the note at the top of this page).
